Light and mobile…Easy to transport
This Pull Type Broadcast Seeder uniformly applies seed to a prepared seedbed, rolls the seed in with an optional trailing cultipacker roller and optional covering chains.
The Trillion and the Pull Broadcaster are the most forgiving planters for handling hand picked or combine run seed mixes in that neither have seed hoses or boots to plug when the fluffy seeds are metered from the boxes.
- The Truax multiple seed box design, handles a large variety of native grasses, turf grasses, legumes, and wildflowers.
- Broadcast distribution hides the “row effect” that is common to Drill seeders.
- The broadcast seeder is wheel mounted for mobility.
- A pull type cultipacker roller for one pass seeding and mounted covering chains are available options.
Get productive seed-to-soil placement – and save valuable time.
This little “sister” to the Trillion features the same multi-box design to handle a large variety of native grasses, turf grasses, legumes, and wildflowers. The broadcast seeding pattern hides the “row effect” that is common to drill seeders.
This seeder is wheel mounted and has an optional pull type cultipacker roller for one pass seeding. The unit is highly mobile for use on small land areas.
Covering chains are an option that can be added to this seeder to assist with seed distribution and to lightly cover the seed ahead of the cultipacker roller.
The seeder is available in 3-foot, 5-foot, or lO.5-foot seeding widths as a pull type unit to match your available horsepower. It is built for the operator with smaller equipment. A large ATV will pull the 3-foot model and a 20-hp tractor can handle the 5-foot unit.
Pull Type Broadcast Seeder Specifications
- The bi-functional frame is designed to be used as either 3 point style hitch or to be used with a tongue hitch.
- Horse power requirements: (When towed with the tongue style hitch) Model WF-32 requires 15 hp., WF-64 requires 20 hp and the WF-127 requires 44 hp. Horsepower requirements will increase approximately 50% when the planters are picked up with the tractor three point hitches.
- Combine run and hand collected seed can be metered from the fluffy seed box because the convoluted rubber seed hoses are replaced by sheet metal baffles to direct the seed from the metering seed cups to the ground for placement.
- Optional Brillion style, single roller, towed style, culti-packers are available for both the WF-32 and the WF-64 sizes of drills.
- Optional drill drag chains, one per each planter row, can be supplied with the pull broadcaster to help scatter and cover the seed.
